Addressed to the Fore Office on the 8th March 1848, with which they had not the means of complying in this Country. They appear to us to furnish amply the information called for by the House - at the same time that their bulk has been rendered unavoidable by the terms of the Order in Council. We therefore suggest that they should now be presented to Parliament together with the Despatch which enclosed them.
We have the honor to be, Sir, Your Obedient Humble Servants, The Governor and Council of Hong Kong.
