With reference to your Communication dated the 3rd Instant, I have it in command to acquaint you, for the information of Earl Grey, that the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have not seen reason to dissent from his Lordship's Proposition that the Agent General for Hong Kong should be authorized to provide the supply of Medicines specified in the Requisition submitted to his Lordship in Governor Bonham's Despatch of the 25th October last.
I am at the same time to request that you will further suggest to Earl Grey that future Requisitions for Articles for the Civil Hospital in that Colony should be accompanied by Returns similar to those furnished from Military Hospitals in the Colonies, in such manner as to enable the Officers of the Army Medical Department, to which My Lords would cause them to be referred, to form an opinion as to the propriety of authorizing the supply of
