OPIUM SMUGGLING IN CHINA.

A Japanese gentleman, living at No. 12, iMacdonald Road, has reported the theft of money, jewellery and clothing from his house. The total value is given na 4041.20.
The record of rainfall during the month of July at the Botanic Gardens shows & total of 18.33 inches. The heaviest fali was on the 5th when 4.18 inches were recorded.
