With reference to the letter from the Colonial Office of the 12th of January last, I am directed by Viscount Palmerston to transmit to you, for the information of Earl Grey, Copies of a despatch and its Enclosures received from M. Bonham relative to the claim preferred by Dr. L. Just on account of losses sustained by him at Canton in the years 1840 and 1841.
