LOSS OF A GENEROUS PUBLIC BENEFACTOR.

It came as a great shock to the com- munity yesterday morning to learn that suddenly, at 6 am. The absence of so Sir Elti Kadoorie had passed away, very familiar a figure from the annual race meeting caused it to be generally known he had appeared to be in the best of that he was unwell.
