So far as one can judge from the telegraphic summary of the agreement, these conditions have not been modiɓed in a way which materially weakens them. though in regard to the third and fourth conditions the summary of the agreement leaves something to be said. The agreement does not give to the Irish Dominion the acknowledged right to seceds" which Mr. DE VALERA has been demanding, but in conceding the new style of the territory, and in one or two other respects, the Government has apparently gone a far as it could to meet the republican sentiments of the Sinn Fein leaders. The apparently studious avoidance of the term "British Empire" in the Agreement is
