From the goal kick, Forbes sent in Pearson who had the misfortune to handle when about to shoot from close range. Menham received from the free -kick-and-taking the ball down sent out to warren, when tackled, and the Wilts right winger sent in a long shot that Swan misjudged, and the ball lauded into, the ne. There was an enormous range of toys from expresive cacs to quite cheap- articles and the quantity as large enough to replenish a, huge stall again and ngain. Rarely. it ever, has such large collection been seen in Hongkong. Seeing that the Convents have such a reputation for needlework in all its branches, ladies who visited the bazaar expressed surprise that a fancy work stall

All the afternoon business was very brisk but the bazaar did not reach its zenith until the evening when, with fairy lumps and Chinese lanterns alight, it presented a very pretty spectacle. The numbers of visitors then increased vers much and all was bustle and gaiety. The decorations were carried out under the supervision of Mr. Pinches and Mr. Mc- Croban, of H.M.S.
