In the hope that this Despatch will reach Your Lordship by the semi-monthly mail, I avail myself of the departure of Her Majesty's Steam sloops "Bentinck" for Bombay, to report the qualified success which has attended certain operations undertaken against the Pirates in the adjacent seas.

It was my pleasing duty to report to Your Lordship, in my Despatch Nr. 142 of the 23rd ultimo, the complete destruction of a pirate fleet, in Bias Bay, by the combined operations of Her Majesty's Brig "Columbine" and "Fury".
