GERMANY'S OLYMPIA. AMBITIOUS SUBSTITUTE FOR ARMY TRAINING.
Germany is finding salvation in the gospel of work, writes a Berlin corres- pondent.
Now it is preparing to "play" just as hard as it is already working and how hard that is deserves admiration and emulation. The task is in the hands of a Government Department the State Committee for Physical Culture
As a substitute, perhaps for the mili tary training, afforded in the old days of conscription, this official organisation is systematically persuading and encourag ing the youth of Germany to pursue every possible form of sport and physical cul-
ture.
