My Lord,
In my ... the 29 ... my painful duty to ... of ultions, it was my duty to announce to Your Lordship the murder of Senhor Amaral, the late Governor of Macao, and I at the same time transmitted copies of all the correspondence which, up to the departure of the Mail had taken place between myself and the Council of Macao, the Imperial Commissioner, and the Foreign Ministers, respectively; I have the honor to enclose for Your Lordship's further information, transcripts of some additional letters which have passed in connexion with that melancholy event.
