My Lord,

In compliance with Your Lordship's instruction, Despatch. Military No. 75 of the 22nd June, 1849. I have the honor to state that when the Surveyor General reported on the 23rd May last the completion of the defensible Barrack at Aberdeen, I deemed it proper that it should be inspected by myself and the Major General, and consequently on the 27th of the August, 1849.
