FOOD AND DRUGS ORDINANCE

DEPARTMENT.

The return for the whole of 1920 of samples examined under the Sale of Food and Drugs Ordinance, 1600, shows that six samples of beer, two of gin, four af port and two of sherry were tested and all found to be genuine. Of six samples of brandy examined, three were found to be adulterated. Out of 60 samples of milk, only four were adulterated. Three out of six samples of rum, and seven out of eight-samples of whisky examined passed the test.

During the quarter ended December. 31st, six samples of brandy and six of rum were examined at the Government Laboratory. In each case three were found adulterated. Of sixteen samples of milk examined one was found to be adulterated.
