At the sightieth ordinary general mee ing of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, which was fixed for December 8th, the directors, after provid ing for the usual dividend at the rate of per cent. per annum on the preferred stock, less income tax, were to recommend La dividend on the deferred stock of's per cent. for the six months, together with a bonus at the rate of 2 per cent,, both free, of income tax, making, with the interim, dividend of 6 per cent. paid in May, total distribution on the deferred stock of 18 per cent. for the year. They also posed a distribution in the neighbourhood pro- of £205,000 of deferrodestock to the de ferred stockholders whose hanks were na the company's register on November 23rd, 1920
