for your information copy of a letter
from
the Colonial Treasurer,
from which, and other
circumstances it appears
that Mr. Trotter, your Clerk, has
been absent from
the Colony for a
period of
five months and
twenty-five
days. By the Colonial Regulations
1220
no officer
in the Public Service is
permitted to be absent beyond six weeks without losing a moiety
of his
Salary.
