Governor of the City of the Holy Name of God of Macao, No 342.
of the 8th January 1844, and
in reply to Despatches from the Governor of the same City No 54 of the 5th December last, and No 12/
of the 26th January of this year,
relative to an
ordinance
which
on the 24th
# January 1844 had been passed by the Governor of the British Colony of
Hongkong with the
advice
of
the Legislative Council there, and from which it appeared
that the subjects of that Nation resident at
Macau
were
placed
under the
authority
