Yesterday I had a conversation with a Cara broker, who spoke of the worldwide! demand for cotton:
cotton There is not nearly bufficient available to satisfy the world's require ments, and the spinners must continue to compete. The profits already recorded show business to be good. Eastern Europe is slowly recovering, industrially and economically, and will soon compete for cotton supplies. The heavy demand for good graden has left little of the best staple available, and spinners, for the future, have no alternative but to draw on the lower grades, of which there is a good supply.
The huge influx of solid cab into Egypt in payment for the cotton already sald has not been an namized advantage. Ar, always, the abnormal prevalence of money has lessened its value, and though

The Financial Section of the London Chamber of Commerce, after considering the international financial situation, heve submitted some important recommenda tions and observations which were adopted by the Council of the Chamber.
They urge: That it is to the interest of the vast majority of traders in Lon- little don that the exchanges should be fluctuating as possible, so that contracts for the purchase or exchange of goods can be calculated with reasonable certainty.
