BLUE FUNNEL BOAT ON FIRE.
With steam coming from her ventila tors and with fall speed ahend the Blue Fannel freighter, Tyndarens, en route from Victoria, B.C., to Tsingtao, arrived in Yokohama harbourt on the 3rd inst, Fire in ber bold caused the big 35,000 ton freighter to change her course and raced for land Her hatches were battened down right and steam was turned on the burning cargo, mostly cotton. There are 4.000 cholia labourers from France on board the freighter en route to China.
The fire was discovered by some of the coolies on 30th ult, and prompt action by the members of the crow kept it confined to hatch No. 7, where it was discovered.
