I have the honor to submit to

Your Lordship the accompanying copies of

a correspondence consisting of 5 enclosures, relative to a claim made by

the Ordnance

Department against this Colony for a supply of rough timber obtained from thence; and as I do not consider that the Honorable, the

Board of Ordnance

ever

contemplated that the charges for Departmental Expenses should extend to stores of the above named description, I have objected to the payment, and requested the Board of respective Officers to refer the matter to the further consideration of the Honorable the Board of Ordnance; and I
