The beavy rain of the early morning settled down into a heavy drizzle for the rest of the day, and the weather proved very disagreeable for the second round of the championship at Faaling, yesterday. The course, however, looked very much better for the rain, and was in really excellent condition for play. The greens were quite true and lost their fix, so that spores, un the whole, were better, though the ball did not run so much off the tee.
