The death occurred, at the Military Hospital, on Monday evening, of Mr. Herbert Cecil Jennings, the son Sergeant Major and Mrs. T. Jennings.

The deceased who was only 16 years.of age, was employed in the Import Depart ment of Messra. Jardine, Matheson & Co., Ltd. He was apparently in the bäst of health on Friday when he attended office. He was taken ill on Saturday and was removed to Hospital where an opera- tion was performed for appendicitis and following "upon which be succumbed. Deceased had already won quite a reputa tion as a footballer. Last season he play-
