Inspector Kent stated that another wan, A Police informer, would be charged with aiding and abetting the youth This an informed a Chinese detective that a party of men were proceeding in the direction of Caroline Hill Road, carry- ing arms, with the intention of commit ling an armed robbery. The circum stances were rather suspicious, and enquiries were made as to where the man had obtained the information. The boy refused to divulge anything at first, but subsequently informed witness that A man called F Lee Paat (glass gun man) had given him the daggers. When the man was brought in the youth identified him. The man's idea evidently was to get the boy into troubles and them claim a reward. The man, however, denied his guilt.
The youth pleaded guilty to being in possession of the daggers and was sentenced to four weeks" hard labour.

EXTRADITION PROCEEDINGS. CHARGE OF ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING.
On behalf of the Canton Government, Mr. Leo Longinotto, Assistant Crown Solicitor, made an application before Mr. R. E. Lindsell, at the Magistracy, Vester day. for the extradition of three Chinese who, were wanted to answer charges of robbery and kidnapping.

The allegation was that on November 14th the three men entered the village of
was charged with kidnapping a girl. fourteen years of age, and inducing her to steal. The girl pleaded guilty to stealing jewellery valued at $185 from ber mistress.
The girl stated that she committed the theft at the woman's instigation. This the woman denied, saying that the girl had been maltreated by her mistress, and' she gave her, shelter out of pity.
