Le Chuen, foreman of the Public Works Department, was indicted for receiving a bribe of $400 from a sub-contractor, on January 14th, at Yaumati, with a view to influencing him in respect of cortain works which he was engaged in.
The Acting Attorney-General (the on. Mr. H. E. Pollock, K.C.) prosecuted; and Mr. Eldon Potter (instructed by Mr. D. J. Lewis) defended.
