HIGHWAY ROBBERY.

A Chinese was charged before Mr. B. E. Lindsell, at the Magistracy, yester

day, with committing a highway robbery. It appears that the complainant was going from the Golf Club in the direction of Deep Water Bay, when two men as saulted him. One of the men stole his jacket, while the defendant stabbed him twice. An Indian estable, attracted by cries for help, went to complainant's aid and arrested defendant.
