The Faliant was not hit.
The Warspite, towards evening, was hit by shelle from two heavy guns. Both aud perforated the six-inch armour, caused considerable damage, jamming the helm hard aport, causing the ship to turn in circles. While circling, the Farspite was struck by 16 shells from beayy guns and twelve from smaller ones, causing con- aiderable damage. Two guns were put out of action. She had a large hole on her water-line and another under the water, below the armour, but her casualtios were very light
