The Chinese Recreation Club had inuch the better of a drawn match against the Manchester Regiment, at Causeway Bay, on Saturday. The soldiers lacked two of their best men Sergeant Hall, whe has injured his leg, and R.Q.M.8. Allau.
The Chinese made a lucky start. After Ng Sae Kwong had given a hard catch to point at the commencent of his in nings. he stayed in to make 41 runs out of the 63 scored by the first wicket part nership. The Manchesters' fielding we slack, especially in the outfield, where many needless boundaries were given. The Royal Garrison Artillery prasti cally won the League honours for this year when they defeated Kowloon, on Saturday They have several tuptches still to play, but should find nothing good enough to beat them.
The Artillerymen stepped out and drove Pestonji and James. Bergt. Atharue batted with great steadiness, as also did Corp. Mann. Coltman was able to do clare the innings closed when they had acored 152 for the loss of six wickets.
Kowloon fared worse than they had done in any League match this season. Nine wickets were down with the score. still in the thirties, but of a total of 51
