Dick Mason is the character impersonated by "Smile-a-minute" George Walsh in The Yankee Way"; and the scene of his opera- tions is somewhere in the Balkans.
Now that "disthressful" region has been a pretty lively place during the last seven or eight years, but it never knew what speed was until Dick Mason went over there to manage his dad's cattle ranch.
Before the inhabitants realise what is happening a very important state personage disappears-he is shipped out of the country hy night in a side dour pultman; an infant revolution is squelched; and Dick sets sail for the land of Pork and Beans with the nation's pet princess as his bride.
This, briefly, is the story of "The Yankee Way," but it is not the story itself that counts; it is the Yankee Way" in which things are carried out, the "pep" and speed with which the action hurries along, and above all the fascination of George Walsh's smile and snappy way of doing things that makes this William Fox Super- production a joy to all who witness it.
