7th 1. Apt. 8th Replying to His Lordship's Despatch No. 44 of the 13th June, relative to the practical effect of certain provisions in the Rate of Court of 2nd March, 1848, for employment and remuneration of Interpreters and Translators None.

15th Reporting concurrence in a severe Typhoon on the 31st ulto and 1st Inst in which, besides much damage caused to property generally, the Government armed Police boat was lost, and 22 persons perished.

5. Sept. 7th Reporting grant of £100 for a passage to England to the widow and child of the late Inspector Sanitary, who was drowned at the wreck of the Police Boat in the Typhoon of the past Instant, and recommending that a pension of £50 per annum be granted her.
