I take the liberty of calling your Lordship's
attention to the situation of the Bishop of Siam, Vicar of Hongkong
some time ago
I had the honour
of an interview with
your Lordship, charged with dispatches for the late
such Governor and a promise that his patience
would be rewarded by the government. The promotion that since taken place deprives him of this advantage, as the new Governor declines to act upon the engagement of its predecessor.
