The match in the hockey league between the Defence Corps and the 83rd Co. R.G.A. was played last evening at Happy Valley and ended in an easy victory for the R.G.A. team by three goals to nil. Play was even though inclined to bo scrappy at times. Neither side showed any really good combination in the carlier stages, though there were surde good individual efforts. After a quarter. of an hour's play Bombardier Cope. aided by a good passing moventent on the part of the ginners, scored the first goal The Defence Corps forwards, among whom Brayshay stood out pro minently, made a couple of rushes to- wards their opponents' goal, but erratic, shooting spoiled their chances of equalis ing Just before the half-time whistle was blown, the gunners scored another goal, Cpl.
