THEFT OF CROCKERY WARE.
A Chinese pleaded guilty to steating a basket of crockery ware from First Stroob, and was sentenced, to six weeks' hard labour and four hours stocks.

Mr. Dyar Ball sentenced defendant to six weeks' hard labour, remarking that for a man who had previous knowledge of the house and its surroundings it was the worst form of larceny to commit.

An elderly Chinese woman was charged with assaulting another woman at pre sent in the Government Civil Hospital,
on Tuesday night at. Second Street,
Inspector Sullivan stated that there were no external injuries, and ho wae of the opinion that the complainant pretend edito be worse than she really was. The Doctor at the Government Civil Ho pital bad, reported that the complainant should remain in hospital for a day, in

Another Chinese, who was charged with being in unlawful possession of 14 tuels of opium, was fined $30, with the alterna tive of six wooks' hard labour.

Three Chinese were charged with (1) robbery with violence and (2) atealing Jewellery and clothing to the total value of $153.
