Reuter's Correspondent at the French Headquarters report shows that the magnificent counter-attack on the 24th inst., resulting in.throwing out the enemy from the Casemates, practically deprived him of gains which had temporarily afforded him a coveted viewpoint over the French positions. He has nothing to show for his great effort except thousands of casualties and that the very nick of the Germans were unmistakably defeated.
