I'am directed to acknowledge the receipt letter of the 29 February last enclosing copy of a despatch from Sir John Davis suggesting that several Military Pensioners sending in Hong Kong Police Force be allowed, Passages to India for themselves and their families, and that the Secretary of State is of the opinion that those Men who have married Native Women of India should be allowed free Passages to that Country, but that to other Pensioners the alternative of free Passages to one of the Australian Colonies should be offered.
