The fourteenth annual general meeting of British-American Tobacco Compry (Limited) was held as the ofees of the company, Westminster House 7, Milf bank, S.W., under the presidency of Mr. Joseph Hood (one of the deputy chair men), on January 11th. ⠀

In reviewing the accounts, the Chairman pointed out that, taking the assets as a whole, they had increased by £1STE 317 to the large total of £17,571,792. The pro fit and loss account, subject to excess praits duty" was £2,002,038, as against £1,617,230, or an increase of £475, 708. The proft for the year was £2,733,381, as against £1,850,059 for the previous year. This was the largest profs earned since the incorporation of the company. It showed an increase of £633,308, after providing for a considerably larger. amount for income-tax than in 1915.
