ROYAL HONGKONG GOLF CLUB,

The Hongkong Full Court of three judges, which is due to commence its sitting to day, will have bus one czas to deal with, though this appeal is likely to occupy a considerable time. plaintiff appellant is a poor Chinese widow, so poor that the Court has allowed her to sue as a pauper, and the defendant-respondents are the Bank of Cantos, from whom the widow is claim- ing the return $10,000. The facts of the case are extremely interesting. The widow alleges that the $10,000 was deposited in the Bank of Canton by her kushaud, who was an editor of a newspaper in Canton, and who, as a result of his publishing matter considered to be seditious, was shot. After his death, so the widow alleges, some of her husband's "friends," or relatives, knowing that he had de- pusited $10,000 in the Bank, conspired to secure the money. They came Hongkong, manufactured a promissory mote for $10,000, and placed a confederate in a certain house, with instructions how to act should anything happen." Subsequently a bailift arrived at the house, asked certain questions of the man who had been put in possession, and the latter gave his answers in accordance Shortly with the instructions given.
