THE WAR LOAN.
At a meeting of the Hongkong Legisla tive Council, which is to be held this afternoon, the Hon. Mr. II. E. Pollock, K.C., will ask the following questions in reference to the Government Civil Hospital:
A new Anglo-Indian School, a muni- ficent gift by Mr. Ellis Kadoorie, was last evening formally opened by His Excellency the Governor of Hongkong,

The building, which is handsome and substantial, was erected at a cost of $35,000, and is beautifully situated in the Sou-Kan-Poo Valley. It is of two storeys, the lower floor having three class-room, and the upper floor two, and there are offices for the headmaster and the assistant easter as well as accommo-
dation for the stuff and children. The school throughout' is furnished with the most modern apparatus and equipment for an institution of its kind, and educa tion in it will certainly be imparted under most pleasant and favourable conditions The site is of gonerous dimen- sions and there is space for the Farina tion of three roomy tennis courts besides ample accommodation for a general play ground.
