The supposed pickpocket resisted and called for assistano, from his friends, and the constable had a rough five minutes. While they were tossing about the road the constable called for help and succcer- ed in arresting the alleged pickpocket. The latter was charged with assault on Saturday morning and renmuded. Bail was fixed at $200.
