HONGKONG HARBOUR IN 1915. LARGE DECREASE IN TONNAGE

The annual report of the Harbour Master of Hongkong for 1913 states that the total of the shipping entering and 250 clearing at ports in the Colony during the year 1915 amounted to 331,602 vessels of 33,88919 fons, which, compared with the figures for "1014, shows an inerense of 50 1-4163 vesels, with a decrease of 3,879,032 Los. Of the above. 50,148 vessels of 30 24.613,003 tons were engaged in foreign 25 trade, as compared with 51,214 ressels of 25 29,270,24 tons in 1914.

Of vessels of European construction, 20,890 weean steamers, 4 sailing ships, 4983 river steamers, and 3,437, an launches entered during the year, giving a daily average entry of 316 ships, as compared with 32-4 in 1914, and 299 in 1013.
