I have to report to your Lordship,
in compliance with the Colonial Regulations, that the capital sentence of the Law was
carried into execution on
the 28th instant
in the person of the Chinese "Ling-tute-yeou alias Moyeen", convicted of the wilful murder of "Chung ateen".
The accomplice in this murder, "Leong atque", was executed on the 2nd January
1846, as reported by my Predecessor in his Despatch No.21 of the 4th of that month. The principal however found
means to escape to Canton, but on a recent visit to the
