"I have the honor to report the removal of the Civil Departments lately occupying the temporary Buildings on Government Hill, to the new Government Offices now completed, with exception of the outhouses which will be finished in a few days.

The old Building has been made over to the Surveyor General for the present, as a Dépôt for the stores, tools and building materials required for the proposed Government House, the site of which is being levelled.
