CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR PARCEL MAIL.
The Public are informed that the Christmas and New Year Parcel Mail to the United Kingdom will be closed in this Office at 5 p.m. on the 18th November. This Mail is due in London on the 25th December.
The above date of departure is liable to alteration.
The Duty to be prepaid on Tea to the United Kingdom has been raised from 40 cents to 60 cents per lb. and on Cigars and Cigarettes manufactured or unmanufactured Tobacco from $4.00 to $6.00 per lb. on the gross weight of the parcel.
Correspondence addressed to enemy subjecte in China, Biam, Persia and Morocco cannot be transmitted.
