The Public are informed that the Christmas and New Year Tarcel Mal to the Trited Kingdom will be closed in this Office at 5 pm. on the 18th November. This Mil is due in London on the 25th December.
The above date of departure is liable to alteration.
Monday, the 8th November, and Wednesday, the 10th, being, Public Holidays, the Post Office will be open from 8 tɔ 9 a.m.
There will be one delivery of ordinary correspondence and ene collection of Letter from the Pillar Boxes.
The Money Order Office will be ontirely closed.
The Duty to be prepaid on Tea to the United Kingdom has been raised from 40 cents to 60 cents per lb. and on Cigars and Cigarettes manufactured or unmanufactured Tobacco from $4.00 to $6.00 per lh, on the gross weight of the parcel.
