THE HONGKONG DAILY PRESS, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15, 1915.

Look at that pair of skinny scarecrows! Why don't they try Sargol ? EXCESSIVE THINNESS.

Doctors Say There Is a Safe Simple Way To Get Fat.

Dr. Arminat, the eminent French authority, declares

this is the most successful method of patting on flesh."

Women who find it difficult to dress well on account of hong necks and pin point elbows, also men who are mortified every time they roll up their sleeves or put on a bathing suit will be overjoyed to learn that at last a treatment abs been discovered which actually puts on flesh.

Medical men as well as chemists of known standing agree in declaring Sargol to be the long-sought missing link which all thin folks lack. The instantaneous success of this new preparation is the wonder of the advertising world. The wiseacres of the advertising profession who have seen patent medicines come and go admit that there must be something in Sargol,"

From the very first the discoverers of Sargol have courted the fullest investigation. They insist that Sargol is not to be classed with patent medicines, for doctors order it frequently.

White Sargol has been analyzed by chemists and pronounced tarmless and free from any narcotics or dangerous drugs, its action is yet somewhat of a mystery. Broadly speaking, it seems to have the power to induce most perfect assimilation of food and everyone knows that persons who properly assimilate what they cat are plump, healthy and happy.

At any rate, the test will tell, and every reader who has the misfortune to be from 10 to 30 pounds underweight should try Sargol.

A Gold Medal was awarded Sargol at the Brussels Exposition in toto, another at Rome in 1911. A. S. WATSON & Co., Lin, VICTORIA DISPENSARY, The Pharmacy, Queey's Disressvey, The EDWARD DISPENSARY, and all other first-class Chemists in Hong. kong have it in stock.

For a year past every Russian setback has been instantly followed by the pr motion of some sort of insidious pro-au paganda, which starts simultaneously in A thousand different quarters. The attempts to destroy the Russian Armies in the field so far have proved ineffective in spite of the superhuman efforts the enemy has made for the last three months. After each battle, with its terrific losses and sacrifices, the Germans see themselves holding an empty city or fortress, with the Army slipping our their grasp without demoralization or confusion to fight again on another line.

It has now become obvious to the Ger- mans that their greatest obstacle to success is the heretofore unbreakable moral of these armies, and they are now, with every subtle, specious, malicious method possible, circulating rumours which are intended to demoralize the Army and to destroy the hope and confidence of the public. From the moment of Warsaw' fall this propaganda has been pushed with increasing cleverness and force, both the Army and in all Petrograd circles. It is directed to mislead both the soldiers and the public into.the belief that victory is impossible and that the Allies have deserted the Russing cause. The con- tinued necessity for retirements has now presented an oppor unity to the eneiny to push this programme more effectively and plausibly, until to-day some people in Russia are in a chaos of pessimism as to the real situation. The idea is being subtly circulated that the attack in the West is indefinitely suspended, and that the highest authorities are secretly plan ning peace.
