The death is announced of Mr. M. P. Jukes, who was well known for a long period of vente as agent in London of the Union Insurance Society of Canton. Mr. Jukes went out to Chins to Messre. Jardine, Matheson & Co., and was under. retired from China in the early seventies, writer of the Canton Insurance. He
