As foreshadowed in the last report, the loss on Hongkong (British) subsidiary coinage continued and unfortunately increased.
No further extension to the track than that mentioned in the last report has been undertaken during the year.
Provision has been made in the accounts for the royalty due to the Hongkong Government.
Depreciation has been charged to pro fit and loss account on such of the plant and undertaking which is subject to wear and tear on similar lines to that decided on last year, and in addition, as recom- mended above, the sum of £2,000 as A further instalment towards writing down the values to the basis o f£240,000 men- tioned in the 1910 report..
The directors again desire to place on record their appreciation of the services rendered by the manager, agents and the staff.
The London directors seats on the Board having been vacated, Hon Mr. David Lindale, Hon. Sir C. P. Chater, Hon. Mr. E. Shellim, Hon. Mr. Lau Chu Pak. Dr. J. W. Noble and Mr. To Tung, of Hongkong, were appointed directors in their stead in accordance with the re- olutions passed at the extraordinary meeting of members held in London on 1st December, 1914.
