H. HARBOUR MASTER £48, 7s. 3d. increase in 1849, in consequence of the Salary of the Clerk having been raised on 1st October 1847, from £150 to £200, &c., &c. I. JUDICIAL £918, 17s. d. decrease in 1849, being,- £346 13 3 under Salaries, viz -£317, 10s. Charitable Allowance (the person to whom such was granted having left the Colony); £437, 4s. 10d. decrease on Police and Gaols, (the reduction on cost for Provisions being £438 in 1849 as compared with 1847, caused by the reduction of the European Police Force, and more favourable Contracts); £11 decrease on Rent for Police Stations; 4552, 1s. 9d. reduction on Conveyance of Convicts; £22, 6s. 2d. decrease under the head of Hospital and Special Expenses.
