In accordance with the Colonial

Regulations, I have the honor to transmit to Your Lordship Estimates of the Revenue and Expenditure for the year 1849.

The Expenditure, including contingencies, may be stated at £52,196 while the Revenue is likely to amount to £25,432, showing an excess of estimated disbursements over estimated receipts of £26,764 to which must be added £26,866 on account of the Superintendency and Consulates, making a total of £53,630 which it will be requisite to be made up by a Parliamentary Vote on account of the Civil Establishments of the Colony.
