An interesting miscellaneous programme was arranged for the fourth meeting of the Hongkong Gymkhana Club, for, in addition to the ordinary Ching pony events, there was a mule race and also foot events for the Indian troops. Racing was always of the keenest, and a very fair summary of the financial side of the different races would be that no fortunes were made or lost. There might have been sone different laying of stakes if all the ponies which had changed their names had been known to the general public, but on the whole there were no big surprizes, TELEPHONE NO. 212. mostly all the ponies running to form.
