We have the honour to
acknowledge the Receipt of your letter of the 13th August
relative to a House belonging to the Hon'ble : A. R. Johnston, being
likely to be required for Military purposes by
the Honourable Board of Ordnance.
On the 27th November 1847,

we ended this House,
and the Land on which it stands, to the Honourable Board,
as a desirable purchase and due Mess House for
the Royal Artillery and Royal Engineer.
