Herghing and Cratin by the vessels belonging to or managed by the Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboat Co.
War risks are not covered by Postal Registration or Insurance. Until further notice the Names of the Vessels by which Mails are forwarded will not be advertised in the Mail Notices.
Correspondence (incleding parcels) is being despatched as opportunity offers; but all Services are irregular and uncertain and all correspondence is liable to delay.
The Parcel Post Service to Egypt and countries beyond sorted by Egypt in Southern Earope is for the prosent suspended,
The Service to Teingtau is suspended.-
A late Mail for Swatcw, Amcy and Foochow will in future be closed for all Douglas Steamers 20 minutes before each steamer fails, ordinary corresptudence will be received after the reguler meil kes lcscd at the side west entrance to the G.P.O. in the lane off Des Veear Road.
The Kanchor, with the MAILS FROM LONDON (vla Siberia) of 26th August to lat Sej tomber, is expected to arrive here on or about the 4th October via Ewatow.
