SHIPS' LETTER BOXES."
THE HONGKONG DAILY PRIES, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19ru, 1914.
1.-It is hereby notified that during the confinusuce of the War all outgoing correspondence
must be posted at the General Post Offeo or at any of its Branch Officen.
Officers are etsietly forbidden to receive on beard their vessels any correspondenes from the Pablio. ---------
2.-Shipmasters are not allowed to place or expose on board their vossals loiter boxsa for the Furore of collecting correspondence; all such tores found exposed on boxid their vessels will be removed and returned to the General Post Offee,
4.Dipping Companies must not receive from the Fable for inclusion In their ships Papers eny but bona fide Consigaves' letters which should be left open for lospection when required.
5-Shipping Companies should state in their notifications to the Post Office the erant boar of departure of their verreis in order that the public may have every facility for posting nt the General Post Office.
6.-Shipping Companies and Ships' Officers must send to the Post Office ALL correspondence except bona fide Consignees letters posted in the Ships Letter Boxes or received by Ship Officers at the peris from which they eailed, or anywhere en route to Hongkong. 7-The above regulations will not affect the licensed Private Letter Bones carried between Hongkong and Canton by the vessels belonging to or managed by the Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboat Co.
WAR RISKS ARE NOT COVERED BY POSTAL REGISTRATION OR INSURANCE.
The Parcel Pont service to Egypt and countries beyond is for the present suspended. The Kashima Maru, with the MAIL FROM LONDON (via Siberia), probably of Wednesday, the 19th ult., is due to arrive here on Monday, the 21st inst,
The Korea, with the AMERICAN MALL, left Yokohama for Hongkong via Manila on the 16th inst. at 10 a... and is scheduled to arrive here on Monday, the 28th inst.
